GRB 080319B

La explosión de rayos gamma GRB 080319B, ocurrida el 19 de marzo de 2008 y detectada en primer lugar por el observatorio espacial Swift. La explosión tuvo lugar a 7500 millones de años luz de distancia y fue visible a simple vista, con una magnitud de 5,8, durante unos 30 segundos, lo que la convierte en el evento cósmico más distante que ha podido ser visto sin ayuda. The gamma-ray burst GRB 080319B, which occurred on March 19, 2008, and first detected by the Swift space observatory. The explosion took place 7.5 billion light-years away and was visible to the naked eye, with a magnitude of 5.8, for about 30 seconds, making it the most distant cosmic event that could be seen unaided.
